Before
you start, be sure to use a metal tape measure or a good ruler! |
|
|
|
|
|
If
you are measuring large windows, have a friend assist you to ensure
an accurate measurement. |
|
|
|
|
Measure
to the nearest 1/8". Use the smallest of three width measurements
for an inside mount blind. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
| Inside
Mount: Horizontal
Blinds, Pleated Shades, and Vertical Blinds. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Measurements
for an inside mount show the size of the window opening.
Measure the width, to the nearest 1/8 of an inch, of the window
at the top, middle, and bottom. Write down the narrowest of the
3 measurements and note this measurement as the Width "W".
Measure the height of the window opening to the nearest 1/8 of an
inch. Write down this measurement and note as Height "H".
DO NOT TAKE ANY DEDUCTIONS!
The factory will take the necessary
deductions to insure a proper fit and clearance.

Measurements
for an outside mount show the exact size of the finished blind.
Measure the exact width and height, to the nearest 1/8 of an inch,
of the area to be covered. Write down the width measurement and note
as Width "W" and write down the height measurement and note
as Height "H". If wall space is available, allow at least
1 1/2" of overlap per side to insure privacy. For windows without
a window sill, make sure you overlap at least 1 1/2" below the
window. |

|
|
|
Measurements
for an outside mount show the exact size of the finished blind.
Measure, to the
nearest 1/8 of an inch, the width of the area you wish to cover as
shown. If the wall space is available, include a minimum of 2 1/2"
of overlap on each side of the window or door frame. Write down the
width measurement and note as Width "W". Height: Measure
the height from at least 2" above the window or door frame down
to the area that you wish to cover. If you want to go down to the
floor, measure down to the top of the carpet. Do not press down on
the carpet pile. Write down the measurement and note as Height "H". |
